Bacardi has expanded its presence in India’s ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage segment with the launch of BREEZER® Bold, a new range aimed at consumers looking for stronger and more distinctive flavour experiences.
Launched on 9 September 2026, BREEZER Bold brings a new expression to the familiar BREEZER portfolio. The range has been developed with changing consumer preferences in mind, particularly the growing interest in adventurous flavours, variety and unconventional taste combinations.
Available at 8% ABV, BREEZER Bold makes its debut in India with three variants: Guava Chilli, Lime & Lager, and Grapefruit Yuzu. Each flavour has been designed to offer a different taste profile while drawing inspiration from combinations that are increasingly familiar to Indian consumers.
Three Distinctive Flavours
The Guava Chilli variant combines the naturally sweet and fragrant taste of guava with the heat of chilli. The pairing brings together a familiar tropical fruit flavour with a spicy twist, creating a combination influenced by the sweet-and-spicy flavours commonly found in Indian cuisine.
Lime & Lager takes a different approach by combining crisp citrus notes with the bitter, pine-like character associated with hops. The result is intended to offer a sharper and more refreshing flavour profile for consumers who prefer citrus-led drinks with a more pronounced bitter edge.
The third variant, Grapefruit Yuzu, combines the juicy tartness of grapefruit with yuzu, a citrus fruit known for its distinctive floral and herbal character. Together, the two flavours create a more complex citrus profile.
According to Goodies Narayanan, Marketing Director, India, Bacardi, changing consumer preferences are playing an important role in how the company develops its brands. He said Indian consumers are increasingly exploring new and adventurous taste experiences, and BREEZER Bold is designed to respond to this shift with flavour combinations inspired by local preferences while offering something different within the category.
Responding to Changing Tastes
The launch comes as India’s RTD market continues to evolve, with consumers showing interest in products that offer convenience as well as greater variety. RTD beverages have increasingly become part of different social and consumption occasions, with flavour playing an important role in product discovery.
Bacardi’s 2026 Cocktail Trends Report also points towards growing consumer interest in experimentation and discovering new flavours. BREEZER Bold aims to tap into this interest by bringing together familiar Indian-inspired combinations and less conventional flavour pairings.
The new range will initially be available at select retail outlets in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Daman from 14 September 2026. Bacardi plans to expand the availability of BREEZER Bold to additional markets across India in the coming months.
With its higher 8% ABV and three distinctive flavour combinations, BREEZER Bold marks an expansion of the BREEZER portfolio as Bacardi looks to offer Indian consumers more choice in the growing RTD segment.
