Agreement Signed for WASH Sector Growth
India and Nepal signed an MoU to boost cooperation in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). The event took place in New Delhi at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan. The agreement covers waste management, groundwater monitoring, and clean drinking water access.

Water Supply Minister of Nepal, Pradeep Yadav, stressed learning from India’s large-scale sanitation projects. He proposed regular meetings to ensure progress.
Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil called the agreement a milestone in regional cooperation. He highlighted India’s success in clean water access.

The ceremony was attended by officials from both nations, including:
