Established in 2009 under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), NSSTA trains government officials and international participants in statistical methods, IT, big data analytics, and data dissemination.

This year’s theme, “Empowering Governance Through Statistical Excellence – 17 Years of Capacity Development and Collaboration,” reflects its role in evidence-based policy making and global partnerships.

The event will feature discussions on India’s statistical systems, future priorities, and international collaborations. Speakers include National Statistical Commission Chairman Rajeeva Laxman Karandikar, Capacity Building Commission Chairman Adil Zainulbhai, MoSPI Secretary Saurabh Garg, and UN Resident Coordinator in India Shombi Sharp.

More than 500 policymakers, government officials, and international representatives will attend. The event will be live-streamed.
