The Mumbai Police fleet is set to receive a major upgrade after the Adani Foundation contributed ₹15 crore towards the addition of 100 new cars. The initiative aims to strengthen the city’s policing infrastructure and support personnel working to maintain safety and security.
Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani announced the contribution and said the initiative was made in recognition of the efforts of Mumbai Police personnel who work round the clock to protect the city.
Taking to social media, Pranav Adani said he was honoured to support the Mumbai Police fleet and acknowledged the dedication of officers who continue to serve citizens.
“We salute the brave men and women in khaki who work round the clock to keep Mumbai safe for all,” he said.
The Mumbai Police Foundation appreciated the contribution by the Adani Foundation, stating that the support will help strengthen security infrastructure and contribute towards the welfare of police personnel. Pranav Adani also visited the Mumbai Police Headquarters in connection with the contribution. He said the initiative was a small effort towards supporting the personnel who work tirelessly to protect Mumbai, often called the city that never sleeps.
The addition of 100 vehicles is expected to improve the mobility and operational efficiency of the Mumbai Police. A stronger vehicle fleet can help personnel respond faster during emergencies, improve patrolling capabilities and enhance public safety measures across the city.
Mumbai Police plays a crucial role in managing security challenges in one of the country’s busiest metropolitan cities. With increasing demands on law enforcement agencies, modern infrastructure and resources remain essential for effective policing.
The contribution comes as part of the Adani Foundation’s efforts towards supporting community development and public welfare initiatives. The foundation has previously worked across sectors including education, healthcare, sustainable development and community support.
The collaboration between the Adani Foundation and Mumbai Police highlights the role of public-private partnerships in strengthening essential services and improving resources available to frontline workers.
With the addition of new vehicles, the Mumbai Police aims to further enhance its ability to serve citizens and ensure faster response during critical situations.
As Mumbai continues to grow as a global city, investments in security infrastructure and support for law enforcement personnel remain important factors in ensuring a safer environment for residents and visitors.
