Ahead of Raksha Bandhan on August 28, audio and wearable brand boAt has launched a new festive campaign in collaboration with quick-commerce platform Blinkit and actor-producer Arbaaz Khan. The campaign takes a humorous look at the popular idea of the “Bhai” image and highlights what truly makes someone a good brother.

Titled around the idea of moving from an “aadha bhaiya” to an “achha bhaiya”, the campaign film features Arbaaz Khan in a mock-documentary format, where he breaks down the exaggerated traits often associated with Bollywood’s iconic “Bhai” persona.

In the film, Arbaaz humorously points out the typical stereotypes attached to being a “Bhai” — dramatic one-liners, larger-than-life attitude, stylish poses and over-the-top gestures. The humour gets an extra twist as Arbaaz himself plays with the image, being known as part of Bollywood’s famous “Bhai” culture.

At one point, he turns towards the camera and says, “Main bhai ka bhai hoon,” before revealing the campaign’s main message, being a real brother is not about showing off but about being thoughtful and present.

The campaign shifts from comedy to an emotional message, highlighting that genuine care matters more than dramatic expressions. According to boAt, the film encourages siblings to celebrate Raksha Bandhan by choosing meaningful gifts that strengthen their bond.

The campaign suggests that ordering a thoughtful boAt product through Blinkit can be an easy way for brothers to surprise their sisters, with quick doorstep delivery making last-minute gifting simpler.

A boAt spokesperson said the campaign plays on the common idea of brothers trying to prove they are the best “Bhai” through dramatic gestures and humour. The spokesperson added that the real meaning of being a good brother lies in showing up for loved ones rather than creating a performance.

The campaign film features products including the boAt Rockerz 480 headphones and Chrome Iris smartwatch, along with the brand’s wider range of wireless earbuds, smartwatches and portable audio devices. These products are available through Blinkit and boAt’s retail channels during the festive season.

The campaign will be promoted across boAt and Blinkit’s social media platforms leading up to Raksha Bandhan, positioning the brand’s products as gifting options for siblings across India.

Conceptualised and created in-house by boAt, the film has been produced by Dryft. Raihan Muhimtule directed the campaign, with Deepika Goyal serving as the Executive Producer.

With a mix of humour, Bollywood references and an emotional message, boAt’s latest campaign aims to redefine the meaning of being a “Bhai” this Raksha Bandhan, moving beyond style and swagger towards genuine care and connection.
