Riding on strong audience traction and rising viewership, Rusk Media is scaling up its fitness reality format Battleground Season 2 by introducing team-specific brand integrations. The move reflects a growing shift in how content, community, and advertising are blending to create deeper audience engagement.
As the show continues to gain momentum across platforms, it has recorded a notable increase in unique viewers and stronger penetration across regional markets compared to its previous season. This growth is being supported by a new format where each competing team is backed by a dedicated brand partner, creating a more immersive and contextual viewing experience.
The four teams in Battleground S2 include Delhi Dominators, Mumbai Strikers, Telugu Tigers, and Bhojpuri Bhaukals. Each team is aligned with a brand that complements its identity. Gagan Pan Masala supports the Delhi Dominators led by Abhishek Malhan, while Dilbagh Pan Masala backs the Mumbai Strikers under Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Shudh Plus Pan Masala powers the Telugu Tigers led by Rahul Chaudhary, and Bahar Pan Masala partners with the Bhojpuri Bhaukals led by Khesari Lal Yadav.
The show’s audience footprint highlights its expanding cultural relevance across Bharat. While the Hindi heartland continues to dominate viewership, there has been strong growth across North India, Maharashtra and Goa, as well as emerging traction in South India. Compared to Season 1, the current edition has strengthened its base in Hindi-speaking regions while also expanding into southern and western markets, creating a more balanced national reach.
Designed as a fitness-driven reality show, Battleground S2 focuses on discipline, endurance, and mental strength. What sets it apart is how team identities now extend beyond contestants and mentors to include brand associations that feel rooted in regional and cultural narratives. These integrations go beyond traditional sponsorship models, embedding brands into the storytelling, team journeys, and everyday audience interactions.
Rahul Arora, Head of Rusk Ads at Rusk Media, emphasised that the show’s success lies in its cohesive format. He noted that the integration strategy is built around making brands an intrinsic part of the ecosystem. By aligning brands with teams, the platform is creating partnerships that feel more contextual, scalable, and relevant to audience engagement.
Brand partners have also highlighted the impact of this association. Gagan Pan Masala described the collaboration as an opportunity to connect with the ambition and energy of the Delhi Dominators. Dilbagh Pan Masala noted that its association with the Mumbai Strikers allows it to be part of a narrative centred on resilience and drive.
Similarly, Shudh Plus Pan Masala stated that the partnership offers a more authentic and impactful way to engage audiences, while Bahar Pan Masala emphasised the importance of regional pride through its support of the Bhojpuri Bhaukals.
Bharat Barasia, CEO of Barasia Advertising Ltd., added that such integrations go beyond visibility to deliver cultural impact. He highlighted that being part of a team narrative allows brands to connect more deeply with audiences, especially across Bharat markets.
Produced by Rusk Media, Battleground Season 2 is streaming free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, with daily episodes releasing at 12 PM and culminating in high-energy ‘Fight Club Weekend’ face-offs.
