Malaysia Airlines and Firefly have been named official airline partners for the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX). This significant event, part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025, will take place from 15 to 18 January 2025 at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Malaysia. TRAVEX connects ASEAN buyers and sellers, showcasing a variety of tourism offerings across the region.

Enhanced Connectivity for Delegates

As official airline partners, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will ensure seamless travel for delegates, including buyers, media representatives, and industry leaders. Both airlines offer a comprehensive network of domestic and international routes, making Johor easily accessible for attendees.

Malaysia Airlines will highlight its signature “Malaysian Hospitality,” while Firefly will enhance connectivity with its regional flight services. This partnership demonstrates their shared vision to position ASEAN as a unified travel destination.

The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia is hosting ATF 2025 under the theme “Unity in Motion: Shaping ASEAN’s Tourism Tomorrow.” This theme reflects the forum’s focus on sustainable tourism and digital transformation.

Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will support this mission by offering travel solutions for key participants, including tourism ministers, government officials, corporate leaders, and media representatives.

Encouraging Global Travel with the “Time For” Campaign

In addition to their partnership with TRAVEX, Malaysia Airlines recently launched its global “Time For” travel campaign. Running until 22 January 2025, the campaign invites travellers to rediscover the joy of exploration and create memorable journeys in 2025.
