Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, has launched the Health Records feature on its Samsung Health app. This new feature aligns with the Indian government’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), making it easier for users to securely manage their health data.
Key Highlights of the Feature
Digital Health Records: Users can access, upload, and manage their health records digitally, eliminating the need for physical paperwork.
Medical History at a Glance: Registered users can view prescriptions, lab results, and hospital visits securely linked to their unique Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID.
Seamless Integration: The feature is ABDM-certified, ensuring compatibility with India’s digital health ecosystem.
Revolutionising Health Management
With this new feature, Samsung empowers users to take control of their health data. Through the app, users can create an ABHA account using their Aadhaar or mobile phone number, enabling easy access to personal health information.

Collaboration with Eka Care
The Health Records feature was developed in collaboration with Eka Care, an ABDM-certified integrator. Eka Care’s co-founder, Deepak Tuli, commented:
“This partnership with Samsung will accelerate the adoption of ABDM across India, building a more connected healthcare ecosystem.”
Features for a Simplified Healthcare Experience
Secure Storage: Health records are stored in ABDM-certified health lockers, ensuring privacy and security.
Faster OPD Visits: Users can scan QR codes at ABDM-compliant hospitals and clinics via the Samsung Health app to obtain virtual queue tokens, reducing waiting times.
More Than Just Health Records
Samsung Health offers a range of health services, including medication reminders, sleep tracking, mindfulness programs, and irregular heartbeat notifications. All data is protected by Samsung’s Knox Security Platform.
How to Access the New Feature
Indian users can experience the Health Records feature by updating the Samsung Health app from the Samsung Galaxy Store or Google Play Store.
With this launch, Samsung aims to revolutionise personal healthcare management in India, helping users stay organised and in control of their health.
