Global adhesive and consumer brands leader Henkel has appointed Pradhyumna Ingle as its new Country President for India, underscoring the company’s commitment to one of its most strategically significant and fastest-growing markets worldwide.
Based in Navi Mumbai, Ingle will lead Henkel’s growth agenda in India, focusing on strengthening the company’s market position, driving innovation, and expanding its business footprint across key sectors. Alongside his new responsibility, he will continue to serve in his global leadership roles as Global Head Infrastructure Protection & Repair and IMEA Head Manufacturing & Maintenance within Henkel Adhesive Technologies.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for India, which continues to emerge as one of the world’s most dynamic economic growth engines. Massive investments in infrastructure, rapid industrial expansion, technological advancements, and a growing consumer base are creating significant opportunities for businesses across industries.
With more than 25 years of international leadership experience spanning India, Asia Pacific, North America, and the Middle East & Africa, Ingle brings extensive expertise to his new role. Throughout his career, he has successfully driven business growth, built high-performing teams, led acquisitions and integrations, and championed digital transformation initiatives that have enhanced operational efficiency and customer engagement.
Ingle succeeds S. Sunil Kumar, who has led Henkel India for the past five years. Under Kumar’s leadership, the company strengthened its position in the Indian market and expanded its presence across multiple business segments. Kumar will now relocate to Dubai, where he will take on an expanded leadership role overseeing strategic projects across the India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region, while continuing his responsibilities as Director Packaging – IMEA.
Commenting on the appointment, Ashraf Elafifi, IMEA President, Henkel, highlighted India’s growing importance within the company’s global strategy. He noted that India continues to be a major growth driver for Henkel and expressed confidence that Ingle’s combination of global experience, market knowledge, customer-centric approach, and transformational leadership would help steer the next phase of growth for the company in the country.
Speaking about his new role, Ingle emphasized India’s rapid economic and consumer transformation. He pointed to strong growth opportunities emerging from increasing investments in manufacturing, infrastructure, mobility, electronics, energy, and digital technologies. He also highlighted the country’s young and aspirational consumer demographic as a powerful catalyst for innovation and long-term value creation.
According to Ingle, Henkel is well-positioned to capitalize on these opportunities through its portfolio of trusted brands, advanced technologies, deep consumer insights, and strong partnerships across both its Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands businesses.
The leadership transition reflects Henkel’s confidence in the Indian market and its long-term vision to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s most promising economies. As the company continues to invest in innovation, sustainability, and customer-focused solutions, India is expected to play an increasingly important role in Henkel’s global growth strategy.
