MCX records turnover of ₹17,708 crores in Commodity Futures & ₹56,681 crores in Options: MCXBULLDEX futures reach 22,641

India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), has recorded a turnover of ₹74,394.51 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Tuesday, July 01, 2025 till 4:30 pm. Of which, commodity futures accounted for ₹17,708.94 crores and options on commodity futures for ₹56,681.91 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jul-25 futures reached 22,641.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, the turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked ₹13,860.12 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures with August-2025 expiry contract were up by ₹1,262 or 1.31% to ₹97,337 per 10 grams, GOLDTEN July-2025 contract was up by ₹1,165 or 1.21% to ₹97,487 per 10 grams, GOLDGUINEA July-2025 contract was up by ₹722 or 0.93% to ₹78,240 per 8 grams, and GOLDPETAL July-2025 contract was up by ₹99 or 1.02% to ₹9,833 per gram. On the other hand, GOLDM July-2025 contract was up by ₹1,210 or 1.26% to ₹96,888 per 10 grams.

SILVER futures with July expiry contract were up by ₹1,289 or 1.22% to ₹1,06,738 per kg, while SILVERM August-2025 contract was up by ₹1,232 or 1.16% to ₹1,07,469 per kg and SILVERMIC August-2025 contract was up by ₹1,237 or 1.16% to ₹1,07,435 per kg.

GOLD futures clocked a turnover of ₹6,143.72 crores with volume of 6,329 lots and OI of 15,617 lots, while SILVER futures clocked a turnover of ₹2,529.02 crores with volume of 7,869 lots and OI of 17,855 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for ₹1,409.58 crores. COPPER July-2025 contract was up by ₹3.75 or 0.42% to ₹898.35 per kg, and ZINC July-2025 contract was down by ₹1.3 or 0.5% to ₹257.05 per kg, while ALUMINIUM July-2025 contract was up by ₹0.75 or 0.3% to ₹249.55 per kg, and LEAD July-2025 contract was down by ₹0.1 or 0.06% to ₹180.55 per kg.

COPPER futures clocked turnover of ₹979.92 crores, ALUMINIUM futures ₹82.36 crores, LEAD futures ₹33.28 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of ₹225.60 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed ₹2,011.56 crores. CRUDEOIL July-2025 contract was up by ₹47 or 0.84% to ₹5,628 per BBL, while NATURALGAS July-2025 contract was down by ₹1 or 0.34% to ₹294.1 per MMBTU.

CRUDEOIL futures clocked a turnover of ₹383.20 crores and NATURALGAS futures ₹1,305.62 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL July-2025 contract was up by ₹7.1 or 0.77% to ₹929 per kg, and COTTONCANDY July-2025 contract was up by ₹310 or 0.58% to ₹54,200 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity options accounted for ₹56,681.91 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of ₹1,061.7 crores.

CRUDEOIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDEOIL options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of ₹5,600, which was up by ₹21.3 or 13.21% to ₹182.50 with volume of 44,187 lots & OI of 13,457 lots, while CRUDEOIL Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of ₹5,600 was down by ₹25.3 or 14.18% to ₹153.1 with volume of 36,476 lots & OI of 11,268 lots.

NATURALGAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURALGAS options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of ₹300, which was down by ₹0.1 or 0.62% to ₹16.00 with volume of 14,279 lots & OI of 6,257 lots, while NATURALGAS Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of ₹290 was up by ₹0.65 or 4.22% to ₹16.05 with volume of 17,539 lots & OI of 4,708 lots.

GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD options were Call Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of ₹97,000, which was up by ₹579 or 54.09% to ₹1,649.5 with volume of 1,766 lots & OI of 329 lots, while GOLD Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of ₹96,000 was down by ₹522 or 36.31% to ₹915.5 with volume of 1,521 lots & OI of 729 lots.

SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER options were Call Option July contract at Strike price of ₹1,10,000, which was up by ₹420.5 or 28.47% to ₹1,897.5 with volume of 771 lots & OI of 1,159 lots, while SILVER Put Option July-2025 contract at Strike price of ₹1,05,000 was down by ₹458 or 21.7% to ₹1,653 with volume of 712 lots & OI of 422 lots.
