Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures reaches at 20527: MCX records turnover of Rs.7729.03 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.52310.28 crores in Options
India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.60040.33 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 07 March 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 7729.03 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 52310.28 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures was reached at 20527.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 4186.76 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 85965 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Mar-25 contract was down by 0.11% to Rs. 69783 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 8755 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Apr-25 contract was down by 0.07% to Rs. 85944 per 10 gram.
SILVER May-25 contract was down by 0.34% to Rs. 97805 per kg, while SILVERM Apr-25 contract was down by 0.29% to Rs. 97772 per kg and SILVERMIC Apr-25 contract was down by 0.29% to Rs. 97775 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2076.20 crores with volume of 2415 lots and OI of 18532 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 792.28 crores with volume of 2693 lots and OI of 21774 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1353.98 crores. COPPER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.47% to Rs. 886.7 per kg and ZINC Mar-25 contract was down by 0.45% to Rs. 274.55 per kg while ALUMINIUM Mar-25 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 264.3 per kg and LEAD Mar-25 contract was down by 0.44% to Rs. 180.8 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 966.08 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 85.14 crores, Lead futures Rs. 46.09 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 175.99 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2215.48 crores. CRUDEOIL Mar-25 contract was up by 1.54% to Rs. 5873 per BBL while NATURALGAS Mar-25 contract was down by 2.41% to Rs. 364.9 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 428.05 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1417.65 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.28% to Rs. 933 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was up by 0.34% to Rs. 52840 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 52310.28 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 916.19 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was up by 37.1% to Rs. 106.80 with volume of 57491 lots & OI of 14511 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 32.89% to Rs. 91.4 with volume of 64774 lots & OI of 14391 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.370 was down by 25.61% to Rs. 16.70 with volume of 13746 lots & OI of 3022 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.370 was up by 18.58% to Rs. 21.7 with volume of 13795 lots & OI of 5102 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was down by 2.46% to Rs. 1091.50 with volume of 842 lots & OI of 398 lots, while Gold Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 without any changes 687 with volume of 1208 lots & OI of 746 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by 6.58% to Rs. 2412.50 with volume of 279 lots & OI of 764 lots, while Silver Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 0.99% to Rs. 1900 with volume of 159 lots & OI of 429 lots.
