The Ministry of Railways released on Sunday a list of passengers who died in the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday. It also published a list of injured passengers. The lists were last updated on 15 February 2025.
The list includes the deceased identified at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain Hospital (LNJP Hospital) (15 individuals) and Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC Hospital) (3 individuals), as well as those who were or are being treated at these hospitals or Northern Railway Central Hospital (NRCH Hospital). Of the injured passengers, those with grievous injuries include Manisha Devi, Lal Babu, and Ram Bhadur Yadav. The others have sustained minor injuries. Those still receiving treatment in hospital include Shivam Shukla, Manisha Devi, and Ram Bhadur Yadav.
According to a media release by the Railways, an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 10 lakh has been made to the next of kin of the deceased. Similarly, injured passengers have received payments ranging from Rs. 1 lakh (for minor injuries) to Rs. 2.5 lakh (for major injuries) from the Railways. The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their relatives, the media release stated.
