Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Skyroot Aerospace’s “Infinity Campus” in Hyderabad via video conferencing. The new facility marks a major step for India’s private space sector, enabling Skyroot to build orbital rockets  including its first, Vikram‑capable of launching satellites into orbit.

Addressing the event, the Prime Minister highlighted how India’s youth, especially Gen Z, are embracing innovation and entrepreneurship across sectors. He said their energy and ambition are transforming the country’s space ecosystem into one driven by cooperation and creativity.

He praised the growing capabilities of the Indian space sector, noting how decades of work, particularly by ISRO, have built a strong foundation for private companies to take India’s space journey forward. According to him, the new campus reflects a shift toward open collaboration, modern infrastructure, and a future-oriented vision for the nation’s space ambitions.

He congratulated the founders of Skyroot Aerospace  leaders whose ambition and risk-taking spirit have inspired many young Indians. He underlined that this progress shows India’s resolve: success depends not on resources but on determination and vision.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the expansion of space technology will contribute to vital national needs from communication and agriculture to climate monitoring and national security. He said reforms undertaken to open the space sector to private participation are already bearing fruit and will transform India’s technological landscape.

He called upon Indian youth, engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs to seize this expanding frontier. With over three lakh registered startups across areas such as fintech, health tech, climate tech, and defence tech, he said young Indians now have unprecedented opportunities to innovate and lead globally.

He underlined government support for research and innovation, noting the establishment of new labs, funding for R&D, and easier access to global resources. He said that India’s ambition is now clear: to make the 21st century India’s century  whether on Earth or beyond.
