Actor Shruthy Menon has earned praise for her performance in Undekhi Season 4, titled Undekhi: The Final Battle, which recently premiered on SonyLIV. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Edgestorm Ventures, the latest season marks the conclusion of one of India’s most gripping crime-thriller sagas.
Shruthy reprised her role as Deepika, a character first introduced in Season 3 who gradually evolved into one of the most influential figures in the narrative. Known for her composed personality and commanding presence, Deepika operates within dangerous circles of power and becomes increasingly central to the story as the series progresses.
In Undekhi: The Final Battle, the makers expanded Deepika’s arc further, placing her in more emotionally layered and high-stakes situations. While the season continues the tense atmosphere and power struggles that have defined the franchise, it also explores deeper dimensions of her character without relying on conventional stereotypes. The role demanded restraint, intensity, and emotional control, qualities Shruthy Menon delivered with notable subtlety throughout the season.
Directed by Ashish R Shukla, the show maintained its signature gritty storytelling style while giving supporting characters greater narrative depth. Shruthy’s portrayal of Deepika has been widely appreciated for bringing quiet strength and emotional complexity to the series’ final chapter.
Speaking about her experience, Shruthy Menon described Deepika as one of the most rewarding characters she has portrayed. She said the role allowed her to explore a layered personality with a powerful character journey, something she found particularly exciting as an actor. She also praised director Ashish R Shukla, calling him one of the brightest creative minds she has worked with.
According to Shruthy, Shukla’s understanding of the script and his ability to explain scenes with clarity made the process deeply enriching. She also admired his calm approach on set, saying his composed nature remained consistent even during high-pressure moments during the shoot.
The actor also recalled the strong bond shared by the cast and crew during filming, especially during schedules in Manali. She said joining an already close-knit team could have felt intimidating initially, but the welcoming atmosphere made her feel comfortable from the beginning. Over time, the cast developed genuine friendships both on and off set, creating an environment that she described as rare and unforgettable.
Apart from Undekhi, Shruthy Menon has built a reputation for delivering impactful performances across multiple digital platforms. She appeared in Ray alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Ali Fazal, and also played a significant role in Shehar Lakhot. In cinema, she received the Filmfare Critics Award for her acclaimed performance in the Malayalam film Kismath.
With Undekhi: The Final Battle, Shruthy Menon has once again demonstrated her versatility and screen presence, reinforcing her growing reputation as one of the most compelling performers in India’s digital entertainment industry.
