SRM University Sikkim has announced the commencement of admissions for its online undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes for the 2026 academic session. The university is inviting applications for its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programmes, aiming to provide flexible higher education opportunities for students and working professionals across the country.

The university said the programmes are offered through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) and are approved by the University Grants Commission’s Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB). With the institution holding a NAAC A+ accreditation, the online degrees are recognised as equivalent to traditional on-campus degrees. Graduates will also receive lifetime access to the SRM University Sikkim alumni network.

The online courses have been designed to combine academic learning with industry-focused skills. Students can choose from a range of specialisations in emerging and high-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Healthcare Management.

According to the university, the online BBA programme provides a foundation in business management, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and leadership while offering specialisations in Business Analytics with Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing. The BCA programme focuses on software development, programming and computing fundamentals, with specialised tracks in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning as well as Data Science and Analytics.

For postgraduate aspirants, the online MBA has been designed for graduates and working professionals looking to enhance their managerial skills without interrupting their careers. Besides core management subjects, the programme offers specialisations in Finance and FinTech, Marketing and Digital Technologies, Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Human Resources and Emerging Technologies, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Hospital and Healthcare Management.

The online MCA programme focuses on advanced technology domains, including programming, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development and data science. Students can further specialise in AI and Generative AI, Data Science and Machine Learning, or Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. H. N. Udupa, Director of Online Education at SRM University Sikkim, said learners today expect flexibility alongside quality education and industry-relevant skills. He added that the university’s online programmes have been developed to bridge this gap by combining academic excellence with practical learning, digital capabilities and emerging technology specialisations, making quality higher education more accessible to a wider learner community.

The university stated that the programmes are delivered through an AI-enabled digital learning platform featuring self-paced recorded lectures, live weekend classes, interactive discussion forums and real-world projects. Learners will also have access to industry experts, career guidance and placement support to improve their employment prospects.

To make higher education affordable, SRM University Sikkim is offering competitive fee structures along with scholarships for eligible students. The total programme fee is Rs 1.10 lakh for the MBA, Rs 1 lakh for the MCA, and Rs 1.17 lakh each for the BBA and BCA programmes.

Admissions for the 2026 academic session are currently open, and interested candidates can apply through the university’s official website after checking the eligibility criteria.
