Thums Up, India’s homegrown cola brand, is bringing the iconic ICC T20 Men’s World Cup Trophy directly to cricket fans through a high-impact airport showcase across key travel hubs in the country. In partnership with Delhi Airport and Adani Airports, the brand is hosting a specially curated ICC Trophy Viewing Experience at three of India’s busiest airports—Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai—turning everyday transit spaces into moments of national pride.
Rooted in Thums Up’s long-standing association with the International Cricket Council (ICC), the initiative celebrates India’s deep emotional connection with cricket. By placing one of the sport’s most coveted symbols in high-footfall airports, the brand aims to meet fans where their journeys begin, blending travel, fandom, and national sentiment.
The experience kicks off at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad on 15 January, followed by Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi on 16 January, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai on 17 January. The trophy will be on display from 6 am to 8 pm at all locations. While Delhi Airport will host a dedicated ICC Trophy showcase, Ahmedabad and Mumbai will feature immersive LED mural photo zones designed to drive fan interaction and social engagement.
Speaking on the initiative, Abhishek Gupta, Chief Customer Officer, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, said that cricket remains one of India’s most powerful cultural touchpoints. He noted that by taking the ICC Trophy beyond stadiums and into major airports, Thums Up is transforming routine travel into meaningful moments that reflect the brand’s bold and confident identity, while tapping into the country’s shared passion for the game.
From the airport partner’s perspective, Arun Bansal, CEO, Adani Airports Holding Ltd., said the collaboration aims to elevate the passenger experience by turning transit into a celebration of India’s sporting spirit. He added that initiatives like these reflect a shift in how airports are evolving—not just as infrastructure hubs, but as spaces for culture, engagement, and memorable experiences.
Over the years, Thums Up has consistently pushed the boundaries of how fans engage with cricket. From flying contest winners to the ICC World Cup 2024 in the West Indies to creating tech-led, high-impact fan moments, the brand has focused on making cricket something that is not just watched on screens, but experienced in real life.
With the ICC Trophy Experience, Thums Up reinforces its intent to stay close to moments that matter most to Indian fans. By integrating cricket into everyday spaces like airports, the brand continues to transform iconic sporting milestones into shared, on-ground experiences—keeping the spirit of the game alive, accessible, and unforgettable.
