The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) recorded a total turnover of ₹12,62,954.85 crore across various segments, including commodity futures, options, and index futures from 31 January to 6 February. Commodity futures trading accounted for ₹1,50,100.89 crore, while options contributed ₹11,12,824.40 crore. The bullion index MCXBULLDEX February futures surged 700 points, closing at 20,164.

Precious Metals Rally
Gold and silver prices saw strong gains. Gold April futures on MCX opened at ₹82,199 per 10 grams, hitting a high of ₹84,894 and a low of ₹81,639 during the week before settling at ₹84,444, up ₹2,400. Gold Mini March futures closed at ₹83,856, rising ₹2,482.
Silver March futures opened at ₹93,800 per kg, touching a high of ₹96,485 and a low of ₹91,725, before closing at ₹95,588, up ₹2,142. Silver Mini February contracts ended at ₹95,372, up ₹2,068, while Silver Micro February contracts gained ₹2,067 to settle at ₹95,362.
Base Metals Gain
MCX recorded a turnover of ₹11,371.45 crore in 89,126 trades in the metals segment. Aluminium February futures rose ₹3.85 to ₹255.95 per kg, Zinc climbed ₹2.10 to ₹269, Copper jumped ₹22.15 to ₹854.65, and Lead edged up ₹1 to ₹181.
Crude Oil Falls, Natural Gas Gains
The energy segment saw a total turnover of ₹35,049.52 crore across 8,23,548 trades. Crude Oil February futures opened at ₹6,365 per barrel, reaching a high of ₹6,520 and a low of ₹6,176 before closing at ₹6,210, down ₹109. Natural Gas February futures, however, climbed ₹26.70 to close at ₹295.80 per MMBTU.
Agricultural Commodities Trade Mixed
Agricultural commodities recorded a total turnover of ₹10.79 crore. Cotton Candy February futures rose ₹90 to ₹53,700 per candy, while Mentha Oil February contracts dropped ₹8.70 to ₹915.80 per kg.

Bullion Index and Options Market
Bulldex February futures opened at 19,752 and gained 496 points to close at 20,164. A total of 296 lots worth ₹29.56 crore were traded in 291 trades.
Options on Futures recorded a massive turnover of ₹11,12,824.40 crore in 1,00,11,200 trades.

- Silver and Silver Mini options: ₹35,629.08 crore.
- Crude Oil options: ₹8,19,177.72 crore.
- Natural Gas options: ₹97,653.04 crore.
