Toyota Kirloskar Boosts Education and Healthcare in Raichur
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has intensified its community outreach in Raichur, Karnataka. Through its CSR initiatives, the company has upgraded education and healthcare facilities in this NITI Aayog-designated Aspirational District.

Raichur has long struggled with gaps in basic infrastructure. TKM’s latest intervention focuses on closing these gaps with targeted improvements in government schools and hospitals.
Over 66,000 Students Gain Better Learning Spaces
In 2024 alone, TKM equipped classrooms with new furniture, clean drinking water dispensers, and upgraded kitchen utilities. These improvements have benefitted 66,342 students across the district. The cumulative reach of this programme now stands at over 2.63 lakh students.
The aim is simple—make schools safer, more engaging, and better suited to long-term learning. The focus is on creating tangible change, not temporary fixes.
Healthcare Support Reaches 18,000+ Citizens
On the medical front, TKM turned its attention to the Mother & Child Center in Raichur. It provided crucial diagnostic and life-saving equipment to boost maternal and child healthcare services.
Among the life-saving tools donated were defibrillators, ICU cots, syringe pumps, resuscitation kits, and surgical instruments. Diagnostic tools included a haematology analyser, ECG machines, an ultrasound scanner with Doppler, and hormone analysers.

Other upgrades included general-use items like OT trolleys, blood bag sealers, and stretchers. An ALS ambulance was also added to strengthen emergency response.
This healthcare push helped over 18,000 people in Raichur this year alone. Across all TKM project areas, health-related beneficiaries have now crossed 19.2 lakh individuals.
A Vision Beyond Cars
Toyota’s philosophy of “Growing Together” underpins this outreach. The company believes that true progress includes empowering communities—not just economic growth.
With this dual focus on cars and communities, Toyota aims to build a future rooted in better learning, better health, and better living.
