Trailer sparks frenzy as YRF launches fresh faces Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda
The trailer of Saiyaara, produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), is making waves online as audiences welcome a new-age romantic drama featuring two debutants, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film marks a first-time collaboration between the acclaimed filmmaker and YRF, bringing a fresh twist to classic love stories.
Mohit Suri, known for his deep, emotional romantic films, has opened up about how Saiyaara nearly didn’t happen. He had almost abandoned the idea of casting newcomers for this film. According to Suri, he simply wasn’t finding debutants with the right acting calibre.
“I wouldn’t have made Saiyaara without formidable actors like Ahaan and Aneet. I’d given up on making it with newcomers because I couldn’t find the emotional depth I was looking for,” Suri shared candidly.
Initially considering a different project, Suri’s direction changed after he met the team at YRF. The studio was actively developing a youth-centric love story and had already begun grooming Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for leading roles. When Suri saw their audition tapes, he decided to invest time in understanding their range.
“I was blown away by their sincerity. They surrendered to the vision of the film. It’s rare to find newcomers today who come with such emotional maturity and acting skill,” Suri added.
Saiyaara is set to deliver a powerful love story that blends Suri’s signature storytelling with YRF’s romantic legacy. The studio has produced many enduring love stories over the years, and with Saiyaara, it aims to connect deeply with Gen Z and millennial viewers.
The music of the film is already a sensation, with tracks from top artists like Faheem-Arslan, Jubin Nautiyal, Vishal Mishra, Sachet-Parampara, and Arijit Singh dominating music charts across the country.
YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani stated, “We’ve always believed in telling heartfelt love stories. Mohit Suri shares that passion, and Saiyaara reflects a deep emotional truth that we hope young audiences will relate to.”
Ahaan Panday is officially launched as a YRF hero, while Aneet Padda steps into the spotlight after impressing audiences in the series Big Girls Don’t Cry.The film is scheduled for a global theatrical release on 18 July 2025.
