In an ambitious move to tackle rising cybercrime, Magic Bus India Foundation and FedEx Express have launched the Cyber Safe India Campaign. This nationwide initiative aims to train over two lakh people across 13 states and 29 cities, equipping them with the knowledge to stay secure in the digital world.
The campaign targets young people and underserved communities, many of whom lack access to reliable digital education. By using creative grassroots methods like street plays, cyber safety sessions, and interactive camps, the campaign will spread critical awareness. Local cybercrime officials will join hands to deepen the impact at the community level.
Magic Bus is using its vast network of over 130 livelihood centres and 1,000+ colleges to roll out the programme. Cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai are already gearing up. The goal: empower individuals to identify threats, report frauds, and use trusted digital platforms.
Why now? Because India is under constant threat from digital scams. The Ministry of Home Affairs revealed that citizens have helped safeguard ₹4,386 crore by reporting 13 lakh fraud cases. These figures underscore the power of awareness and swift action in fighting cybercrime.
FedEx’s Nitin Navneet Tatiwala highlighted the urgency of cyber preparedness, stating that awareness is the best defence in a hyperconnected world. Meanwhile, Magic Bus CEO Jayant Rastogi underlined the need for “safe and informed digital participation” as India embraces a digital-first economy.
This campaign is also backed by C-DAC, under the Ministry of Communications and Electronics, and involves State Cyber Cells to ensure regional coordination.
As India builds its digital economy, the Cyber Safe India Campaign ensures no one is left behind. It’s more than a campaign—it’s a digital shield for every citizen navigating the virtual world.
