The cult classic Rangeela is set to make a grand return to Indian cinemas on November 28, this time in stunning 4K restoration under Ultra Media’s “Ultra Rewind” initiative.
Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, the 1995 romantic musical starring Aamir Khan, Urmila Matondkar, and Jackie Shroff defined the aesthetics of 1990s Bollywood — blending glamour, emotion, and A.R. Rahman’s soul-stirring music.
The remastered version promises enhanced visuals, crystal-clear resolution, and immersive sound, offering a new generation of moviegoers a chance to experience the film’s vibrant storytelling on the big screen.
“Rangeela reflected the dreams of ordinary people who dared to imagine big,” said Varma, recalling how the film captured India’s youthful aspirations during the era of transformation.
With Ultra Rewind dedicated to reviving India’s cinematic heritage, Rangeela’s comeback is not just nostalgia — it’s a celebration of timeless cinema that continues to resonate three decades later.
