Union Minister Jitin Prasada inaugurated the MeitY Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair in New Delhi on 15 November 2025. The pavilion highlights the Government of India’s major digital initiatives and shows how technology is becoming a key part of governance and public service. Through this platform, visitors can learn about important national programmes such as Digital India, IndiaAI, and MyGov. The display focuses on how technology is being used to improve everyday life and strengthen digital growth across the country.
A major attraction this year is the IndiaAI Zone, which has been designed as a preview of the upcoming India-AI Impact Summit 2026. This zone presents India’s idea of “Action to Impact”, meaning that artificial intelligence should not remain only at the discussion level but must create real and measurable benefits for people. The zone explains the seven main pillars of the IndiaAI Mission. These include AI Kosh, which deals with datasets, applications for different sectors, future skills, startup support, computer infrastructure, foundational models, and safe and trusted AI. Each pillar plays an important role in helping India move forward in responsible and secure AI development.
The pavilion also features the YUVAi programme, an initiative that encourages young students between the ages of 13 and 21 to create new and useful AI-based solutions. Selected students receive mentoring, resources, and opportunities to present their projects at national and global platforms. This effort aims to build the next generation of AI innovators in India. The MeitY Pavilion also hosts a research symposium that brings together thinkers and researchers from different countries in the Global South. They discuss the social, ethical, and policy challenges related to artificial intelligence and explore how nations can work together for responsible AI use.
Overall, the MeitY Pavilion presents India’s belief that technology is not only about economic growth but also about social development. It shows how digital public infrastructure, citizen participation, and carefully designed AI systems can help shape a better future for the country. Through this exhibition, the government hopes to inspire people to understand, engage with, and benefit from India’s growing digital ecosystem
