The awards ceremony of the 8th Moonwhite Films International Film Festival (MWFIFF 2025), held at Mumbai’s Mukti Auditorium, unfolded as a memorable celebration of cinema, music and emotion. The evening gained added prestige with the presence of Padma Shri Anup Jalota as the chief guest. He personally congratulated the award recipients and warmly acknowledged the efforts of festival founder Devashish Sargam Raj.
The ceremony also paid heartfelt tributes to legendary figures from the worlds of film and art, including Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar, Asrani, Madhumati, Pankaj Dheer and Satish Shah.
Musical performances brought soulful energy to the event. Singer Sanjay Shanglu and the JamSaaz Band enthralled the audience, while Suharsh Raj captivated attendees with powerful lines from his popular music video Kaafir Deewana.
International participation remained a key highlight of the festival. Russian filmmaker Evgeny Shmelev was honoured, while films from New Zealand, the United States and India received awards across multiple categories.
MWFIFF 2025 once again reaffirmed that cinema is more than visual storytelling, it is a celebration of ideas, creativity and dreams.
