As digital content consumption increasingly shifts to short, mobile-friendly formats, Chana Jor OTT, India’s fast-growing micro-drama platform, closes the year with a festive treat for viewers. The platform has unveiled a special holiday lineup of three original shows, cementing its position as a pioneer in India’s “snackable” entertainment segment.
Founded by media entrepreneur and digital strategist Pratap Jain, Chana Jor OTT has steadily gained momentum over the past year, focusing on short, engaging narratives that reflect everyday Indian life. The platform has recorded high repeat viewership and above-average completion rates for select titles, demonstrating both audience loyalty and the viability of micro-dramas as a mainstream storytelling format.
Leading the holiday slate is 3 Cutting Chai, a light-hearted drama centred on friendship and urban life. Starring Kanishka Rawat, Chetna Kaiswal, and Aayesha Khan, the series follows three independent women—Sneha, Priya, and Neha—as they navigate careers, relationships, heartbreaks, and everyday chaos. Timed ahead of the release of Bollywood’s Jee Le Zara, the show taps into the growing appetite for women-centric narratives grounded in realism.
Yeh Mere Wo Hai adds a romantic touch to the festive offering. This Hindi romantic comedy stars Harsimran Kaur as Manu, a spirited young woman convinced that destiny has brought her “the one”—Ram Vikas, played by Ashutosh Semwal. The series combines family expectations, quirky twists, and emotional humour, blending Bollywood-style romance with contemporary sensibilities.
Rounding out the lineup is Corporate Majdoori, a sharp workplace satire that resonates with India’s young professionals. Featuring Ishank Verma, Mehak Rana, Komal Chopra, and Arsh Parminder Shah, the series explores ambition, office politics, burnout, and the absurdities of corporate life. Its relatable humour and grounded storytelling give it a distinctly Indian voice while echoing the appeal of global workplace dramas.
Short-format content is emerging as a scalable and cost-effective model for creators and platforms alike. Chana Jor OTT’s content strategy leverages agile production models and rapid turnaround cycles, allowing the platform to experiment with storytelling while maintaining strong audience engagement.
The festive slate also reinforces the platform’s commitment to new talent discovery. Lean production teams and emerging actors feature prominently, reflecting a creative ecosystem that thrives on speed, relevance, and cultural resonance.
Looking ahead, Chana Jor OTT plans to expand its micro-drama slate in 2026, exploring regional-language originals and forging brand partnerships that integrate seamlessly with short-form storytelling. “Micro-dramas are no longer experimental; they are becoming a mainstream viewing habit,” said Pratap Jain, Founder and CEO. “This festive slate demonstrates how short-format stories can be emotionally engaging, culturally relevant, and commercially viable.”
As 2025 comes to a close, Chana Jor OTT’s festive offering underscores the evolution of India’s digital entertainment landscape towards sharper, faster, and more scalable storytelling.
Launched in June 2023 under V Hunt Digital Media Pvt. Ltd., Chana Jor OTT specialises in high-engagement micro-dramas, short-format originals, creator-led narratives, branded content series, and curated licensed IPs. Under Pratap Jain’s leadership, the platform has positioned itself at the intersection of content, commerce, and brand storytelling, emerging as a category creator in India’s “snackable OTT” space.
