Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures reaches at 20568 point: MCX records turnover of Rs.10984.77 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.72491.8 crores in Options

India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.83495.19 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 24 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10984.77 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 72491.8 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures was reached at 20568 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7499.89 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.27% to Rs. 86246 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 69850 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.58% to Rs. 8691 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.29% to Rs. 86042 per 10 gram.

SILVER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.39% to Rs. 95821 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.33% to Rs. 95900 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.42% to Rs. 95830 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2670.22 crores with volume of 3097 lots and OI of 17864 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2315.22 crores with volume of 7979 lots and OI of 25833 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1451.75 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was down by 0.16% to Rs. 864.15 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.92% to Rs. 269.35 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.85% to Rs. 262.1 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 178.7 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 722.79 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 196.67 crores, Lead futures Rs. 40.23 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 342.68 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2080.19 crores. CRUDEOIL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.23% to Rs. 6134 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was down by 7.22% to Rs. 344.2 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 219.80 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1540.34 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.13% to Rs. 917 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.4% to Rs. 54200 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 72491.8 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 713.75 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was down by 1.97% to Rs. 194.00 with volume of 29682 lots & OI of 6228 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was up by 6.28% to Rs. 157.5 with volume of 28172 lots & OI of 7419 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was down by 40.31% to Rs. 19.40 with volume of 8358 lots & OI of 2440 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was up by 42.17% to Rs. 28.15 with volume of 8187 lots & OI of 1722 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was down by 2.64% to Rs. 240.00 with volume of 2947 lots & OI of 917 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was down by 24.05% to Rs. 450 with volume of 2469 lots & OI of 812 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by 81.75% to Rs. 50.00 with volume of 8498 lots & OI of 1193 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 20% to Rs. 120 with volume of 7947 lots & OI of 1137 lots.
