GOLD Apr-25 futures contract gains by 0.22% and SILVER May-25 futures contract drops by 0.12%, while CRUDEOIL Mar-25 futures contract drops by 0.61% : Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures reaches at 20758
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.94240.49 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 13 March 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10485.59 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 83753.81 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures was reached at 20758.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6999.23 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.22% to Rs. 86875 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Mar-25 contract was up by 0.3% to Rs. 70376 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.58% to Rs. 8824 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Apr-25 contract was up by 0.2% to Rs. 86832 per 10 gram.
SILVER May-25 contract was down by 0.12% to Rs. 99355 per kg, while SILVERM Apr-25 contract was down by 0.13% to Rs. 99230 per kg and SILVERMIC Apr-25 contract was down by 0.11% to Rs. 99230 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3616.05 crores with volume of 4160 lots and OI of 19862 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1293.97 crores with volume of 4350 lots and OI of 23414 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1495.05 crores. COPPER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.35% to Rs. 895.4 per kg and ZINC Mar-25 contract was down by 0.32% to Rs. 276.95 per kg while ALUMINIUM Mar-25 contract was down by 0.81% to Rs. 264.45 per kg and LEAD Mar-25 contract was down by 0.05% to Rs. 183.45 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 930.25 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 157.47 crores, Lead futures Rs. 15.68 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 280.38 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2146.64 crores. CRUDEOIL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.61% to Rs. 5871 per BBL while NATURALGAS Mar-25 contract was down by 3.17% to Rs. 350.8 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 408.44 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1402.09 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 958 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 83753.81 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 985.77 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was down by 35.8% to Rs. 47.70 with volume of 126932 lots & OI of 22980 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was up by 16.48% to Rs. 82 with volume of 121219 lots & OI of 14680 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.360 was down by 25.53% to Rs. 12.40 with volume of 23950 lots & OI of 7794 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was up by 47.15% to Rs. 14.2 with volume of 17444 lots & OI of 5191 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.88000 was up by 7.8% to Rs. 463.00 with volume of 1263 lots & OI of 622 lots, while Gold Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was down by 14.72% to Rs. 565 with volume of 1532 lots & OI of 1192 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by 5.45% to Rs. 2864.50 with volume of 601 lots & OI of 842 lots, while Silver Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by 2.46% to Rs. 2600 with volume of 345 lots & OI of 303 lots.
