Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) successfully concluded its Annual District-Level Quiz and Drawing Competition in Raichur under the ABCD (A Behavioural Change Demonstration) programme. Held at Krishi Vignana Kendra, the event aimed to promote health, hygiene, and sanitation among school children.
The event was attended by Mr. K. D. Badiger, Deputy Director of School Education (DDPI) – Admin, Raichur, and Mr. Soppa Eswar Babu, Manager at TKM. Launched in 2015, the ABCD programme focuses on improving sanitation and hygiene practices in Karnataka, especially in the Ramanagara district. In 2023, the program expanded to support over 100 government schools in Raichur, benefiting more than 26,000 students.
The quiz and drawing competition encouraged students to discuss hygiene openly and creatively express their visions for cleaner school environments. Participants showcased their knowledge in health and sanitation through interactive quiz rounds and thematic drawings. The event highlighted the programme’s success in fostering community awareness through student participation.
Badiger praised the ABCD’s impact, noting its role in encouraging open discussions about hygiene. Sudeep S Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer at TKM, emphasised the company’s commitment to empowering communities through sustainable initiatives.
