Gurugram, March 2026: V-Guard Industries Limited has received international recognition after its Luxecube Water Heater won the prestigious German Design Award 2026, one of the world’s most respected honours for product design. The award ceremony took place in Frankfurt, where designers, innovators and industry experts from across the globe gathered to celebrate outstanding achievements in design.
The award is presented by the German Design Council, which recognises products that successfully combine innovation, functionality and aesthetic excellence. The 2026 edition attracted more than 3,900 entries from 57 countries, making it one of the most competitive global design platforms. Winning among such a diverse field highlights V-Guard’s commitment to creating products that blend thoughtful engineering with modern design.
This is the second consecutive year that V-Guard has been honoured at the German Design Awards. In 2025, the company received the recognition for its Insight-G BLDC Fans, strengthening its reputation as a brand focused on innovation-driven design in the consumer electrical segment.
The award-winning Luxecube Water Heater reflects V-Guard’s approach of reimagining everyday appliances through smart engineering and premium aesthetics. Designed with a compact cube-inspired structure, the product is intended to complement modern home interiors while delivering strong performance and energy efficiency.
A key highlight of the product is its Advanced Thermocline Technology, which helps deliver 38 percent more hot water compared to conventional models. The heater also features a titanium-infused enamel-coated tank designed to enhance durability and resist corrosion over time. To ensure reliable performance in demanding conditions, the appliance is equipped with a robust Incoloy 800 heating element that can withstand high pressure and hard water environments commonly found in many households.
The Luxecube Water Heater is available in 10-litre, 15-litre and 25-litre capacities and carries a BEE 5-star rating for energy efficiency. By combining performance, durability and a refined design language, the product aims to elevate a daily-use appliance into a more sophisticated and user-friendly solution for modern homes.
Commenting on the achievement, Mithun Chittilappilly said that winning the German Design Award for the second year in a row marks an important milestone in the company’s global design journey. He noted that at V-Guard, design goes beyond visual form and focuses on solving real consumer needs while improving everyday living.
The recognition further strengthens V-Guard’s position as a brand taking Indian innovation and design excellence to the global stage. With a legacy spanning more than four decades, the company continues to develop thoughtfully engineered solutions that aim to enhance daily life for households in India and international markets.
