International cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary has stepped into a completely new field, making his acting debut in the Haryanvi gangster anthem Goli Toh Chalegi. Known for officiating high-pressure international cricket matches, Chaudhary now appears in a dramatic avatar that has already begun generating strong buzz.
The music video is directed by fashion designer-turned-filmmaker Suman Guha and produced by Naresh Jha under the banner of Epic Films. Sung by Diamond, the track stands out for its bold theme and cinematic presentation. Shot in a stylised format, the video feels more like a high-energy action short film than a traditional music video.
Anil Chaudhary delivers a confident and commanding performance in his first on-screen role. His natural authority, developed over years on the cricket field, translates effectively into the intense world of the gangster-themed narrative. Co-actors Rohit Kharb, Chandani Raut and Hemesh Dixit add strong screen presence, enhancing the overall impact of the video.
Sharing his experience, Anil Chaudhary said he did not feel nervous facing the camera. He mentioned that he regularly does commentary in Haryanvi, which helped him feel comfortable during the shoot. He thanked director Suman Guha for guiding him through the process and expressed gratitude to producer Naresh Jha. According to him, both umpiring and acting offer different kinds of excitement, and he thoroughly enjoyed the shoot.
Director Suman Guha, who is well known in the fashion industry and is now building his space in music video direction, expressed his appreciation for the support received at the launch event. He introduced the team members and revealed that two more songs are already in the pipeline, each promising fresh and unique concepts.
The grand launch event was attended by several well-known personalities including Rajniesh Duggall, Gurmeet Choudhary, Rajeev Sen, Mishika Chaurasia, Siddhi Ahuja, Vipin Bhardwaj and Priyanka. Rajniesh Duggall praised Anil Chaudhary’s debut and appreciated Suman Guha’s innovative approach, mentioning that the director brings something new in every project. Gurmeet Choudhary also extended his best wishes to the team.
Producer Naresh Jha shared that Epic Films plans to release one new song every month, indicating an ambitious content strategy.
