Some films arrive quietly. Others arrive like a knock on the conscience. 4 Girls belong firmly to the second category. Inspired by a disturbing real-life incident, the film has struck a nerve with audiences for its unflinching look at crime, justice, and society’s uneasy tendency to look away when accountability becomes inconvenient. At its core, 4 Girls is not just a crime thriller. It is a question posed to the viewer. What happens when the system meant to protect fails to act? And when justice is delayed or denied, who bears the moral responsibility to respond? The story begins with…

With Mardaani 3, director Abhiraj Minawala steps into familiar territory: a gritty crime thriller anchored by Rani Mukerji’s formidable SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film continues the franchise’s commitment to hard-hitting themes and a no-nonsense tone. While it aims to balance social relevance with mainstream thrills, the result is a serviceable but largely conventional entry that never quite breaks new ground. Staying true to the series’ DNA, Mardaani 3 tackles dark realities and systemic crimes with urgency. The film positions itself as a tense investigation-driven thriller, focused on the moral weight of justice and the costs…
