Friendship, failure, and fierce battles come alive in the e-sports drama ‘Gamerlog’, premiering 12 June on Amazon MX Player.
Amazon MX Player has released the trailer of its much-awaited series Gamerlog, a coming-of-age e-sports comedy drama featuring Darsheel Safary in the lead. Produced by Abhinay Deo and Neeta Shah under RDP Pulp Fiction Entertainment, and directed by debutant Arya Deo, the show captures India’s fast-evolving gaming culture through a mix of humour, heartbreak, and high-stakes competition.
Streaming for free from 12 June on Amazon MX Player, the series introduces Raghu aka Maverick, a gifted gamer who escapes his small-town roots and strict parents to chase his dreams in Mumbai. What he finds is far beyond just consoles and tournaments.
Thrown into the chaos of the city, Raghu stumbles upon ‘Team Gamerlog’—a quirky team of misfits led by Joanna (played by Anjali Sivaraman), with teammates Lalit, Jaggi, Saurabh, and Mahesh. The team’s aim? To win the “Tournament of Champions,” India’s biggest e-sports battle.
While the game forms the show’s pulse, its heart lies in the personal challenges each character faces—be it loneliness, betrayal, self-doubt, or the search for identity. Darsheel, known for his breakout childhood role in Taare Zameen Par, returns to screen in a layered performance that explores both strength and vulnerability.
Speaking on the role, Darsheel said the series reflects much more than gaming. “It’s a story of every young person figuring out who they are,” he shared.
Producer Abhinay Deo noted the emotional depth of the show. “E-sports is just the canvas. The story is about loyalty, vulnerability, and chasing passion against all odds,” he said, calling Arya Deo’s direction energetic and insightful.
With a young, dynamic cast and a story that blends competition with compassion, Gamerlog aims to resonate not just with gamers, but anyone who has ever chased a dream. The series will be available across mobile, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and smart TVs.
