Give Discover, India’s platform for verified nonprofit discovery, has introduced Grant Maker Profiles to enhance connectivity between NGOs and CSR funders. The platform now includes key details of over 100 grant makers, such as Reliance, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), IBM, Apple, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), and Tech Mahindra Foundation.

These profiles provide insights into CSR budgets, grant values, and funded NGO programmes, detailing covered geographies, demographics, causes, and impact metrics. The initiative aims to help NGOs identify suitable funders and, conversely, assist corporates in discovering NGOs that align with their objectives.
A recent analysis by Give Discover indicates that 69% of the top 500 NGOs are city-based, receiving 85% of total funding. By featuring both NGO and grant maker profiles on the same platform, Give Discover seeks to address funding imbalances and regional disparities in CSR grants.
Additionally, last year’s Dus Spoke India CSR report highlighted that only 33% of top CSR companies are part of multistakeholder collaborations, despite 87% of CSR leaders expressing interest. Grant Maker Profiles will provide funders with insights into peer giving patterns and potential partnership opportunities.
Commenting on the launch, Give Discover CEO Richa Singh stated, “An information gap exists between NGOs and funders. Our Grant Maker Profiles aim to bridge this gap, fostering better matching and fairer grant distribution over time.”
Tech Mahindra Foundation CEO Chetan Kapoor added, “Many grassroots NGOs struggle to access institutional donors. Give Discover can help bridge this discovery gap and support their growth.”
With comprehensive data on both NGOs and CSR funders in an accessible format, Give Discover aims to facilitate meaningful connections, driving collaborative, large-scale social impact.
