Amazon MX Player’s new series Mitti tells a story of return, rediscovery, and rural revival. Premiering 10 July 2025, the series follows a successful ad executive who leaves the city behind to reconnect with his village roots.
The trailer, now live on YouTube, introduces Raghav, played by Ishwak Singh. Raghav is a city-bred professional who travels back to his native village for his grandfather’s last rites. What starts as a farewell soon becomes a powerful homecoming. Through old bonds and earthy traditions, he rediscovers purpose and finds new life in the land he once left.
The show features a strong ensemble including Shruti Sharma, Diksha Juneja, Yogendra Tiku, and Alka Amin. The cast paints a heartfelt portrait of rural India, honest, warm, and slowly evolving.
Amazon MX Player’s Amogh Dusad calls the series a tribute to India’s heartland. “Mitti is about returning to your roots, and transforming them in the process. It’s inspired by real stories of professionals choosing farming as modern entrepreneurship,” he said.
Produced by FreshLime Films, Mitti highlights the shift where educated youth return home to modernise agriculture. Creative producers Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta say the story shows how real change begins in silence, through new ideas, tech, and resilience.
Actor Ishwak Singh said the script instantly resonated with him. “Raghav’s journey felt deeply personal. We often forget where we come from. This story reminds us of that,” he shared.Streaming from 10 July, Mitti will be available for free on Amazon MX Player, the Amazon app, Prime Video, Fire TV, Smart TVs, and Airtel Xtreme.
