For every student, graduation is more than the end of an academic journey. It is the moment when years of classrooms, assignments, projects, friendships and challenges turn into memories, while a new chapter begins. At SVKM’s Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME), NMIMS, Mumbai, the graduating class of 2026 marked this important transition across several programmes.
Students graduating from B Tech, MBA Tech, B Tech Integrated, MCA and M Tech programmes came together to celebrate their academic journey and look ahead to their professional and academic futures.
The academic year brought several milestones for MPSTME. Five BTech programmes received NBA accreditation under the Washington Accord category, strengthening the institution’s academic standing and international alignment.
Research and innovation also remained an important part of the year. MPSTME recorded 121 journal publications, 95 conference papers and nine patents granted, reflecting the work being undertaken by its faculty and students across technology and engineering disciplines.
Strong Industry Connect
The graduating batch also stepped into a professional environment shaped by rapid technological change and evolving workplace expectations.
MPSTME recorded significant industry participation, with 510 recruiters visiting the campus. The highest CTC reached ₹33.52 lakh for MBA Tech and ₹28.38 lakh for B Tech. The median CTCs stood at ₹11.2 lakh for MBA Tech and ₹7.5 lakh for B Tech.
For many graduates, these numbers represent more than employment figures. They also mark the beginning of their transition from academic learning to applying their knowledge in real-world situations.
Addressing the graduating students, Dr. Koteswararao Anne, Dean, SVKM’s NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering, Mumbai, reminded them that their education extends beyond the degree they receive.
He emphasised the importance of continuing to learn, question, create, collaborate and act responsibly as technologies and professions continue to evolve.
Lessons Beyond the Classroom
The ceremony also featured perspectives from industry leaders who spoke about the realities of building a career in a changing professional landscape.
Tarun George, Chief Executive Officer of Tata Insights and Quants, encouraged students to take risks, stand out, express their opinions and have the confidence to stand by their decisions.
Shyam Raghunandan, Managing Director of Schueco India, highlighted the role of gratitude and resilience in navigating difficult phases of life and work.
Abhijit Parab, Partner – Cybersecurity at EY, focused on the importance of continuous learning. He reminded graduates that skills and technologies can become outdated, making regular upskilling essential for staying relevant.
For the graduating students, the ceremony represented the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. They leave MPSTME carrying not only academic qualifications but also experiences, relationships, challenges and lessons gathered over the years.
As they enter different professional and academic paths, the message from the ceremony remained clear: careers will change, technology will evolve, and new challenges will emerge. The ability to learn, adapt, collaborate and move forward with courage will remain equally important.
