Birth and death are among the inevitable truths of human life. In Indian philosophy, death has traditionally been viewed not simply as an ending, but as part of a larger cycle of birth, death and rebirth. The idea of karma, destiny and moksha has shaped this understanding for centuries. Now, the upcoming Marathi film ‘Mrutyuchakra’ brings these themes together with horror, suspense and human emotions.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 23, and its newly unveiled poster has added another layer of mystery around the upcoming release. The poster offers glimpses of a dark world where questions surrounding death, destiny and the unknown appear to take centre stage.
A Poster Full of Mystery
Presented by Shri Mahadev Film Production and produced by Adhyansh Motion Picture, ‘Mrutyuchakra’ is produced by Pranali Unmesh Waghmode. The film is directed by Vilas Waghmode and Anuprita Kadu-Gangawane.
The newly released poster immediately creates a sense of unease. At its centre is an ancient wheel with what appears to be a reddish planet or moon at its core. Several character faces surround the wheel, giving the impression that each person could be connected to a different story, mystery or unanswered question.
The visual design also brings together elements associated with the ancient and the supernatural. A temple-like structure appears in the background, while the dark setting adds to the film’s horror atmosphere.
The line, ‘Behind Every Death Lies an Invisible Shadow…’, further strengthens the central mystery suggested by the poster.
Between Medicine and the Unknown
One of the intriguing visual elements in the poster is the presence of a hospital scene on one side, contrasted with an eerie atmosphere on the other. While the poster does not reveal the complete storyline, this combination raises questions about how the film will connect the world of modern medicine with forces that remain unexplained.
The concept of ‘Mrutyuchakra’ goes beyond the fear associated with death. It touches upon ideas of karma, destiny, rebirth and supernatural forces, while also exploring the mysteries surrounding human existence. These themes provide the film with a philosophical layer alongside its horror and suspense elements.

The story has been written by Dr Sudhir Nikam, while the screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Vilas Waghmode and Dr Sudhir Nikam.
