Mumbai (Anil Bedag): TempSense Instruments (India) Limited, a prominent company operating in thermal engineering and specialised cable solutions, is set to make its debut in the Indian stock market with its Initial Public Offering (IPO) opening for subscription on August 20, 2026. The company has fixed the IPO price band at ₹285 to ₹300 per equity share, giving investors an opportunity to participate in the company’s next phase of growth.

The IPO will remain open until August 24, 2026, while bidding for anchor investors will begin on August 19. The issue is expected to attract attention from investors looking to gain exposure to India’s growing industrial and engineering sectors, particularly businesses involved in temperature measurement, electrical heating and specialised cable technologies.

Investors participating in the IPO will be required to bid for a minimum of 50 equity shares. After the initial lot, bids can be placed in multiples of 50 shares. At the upper end of the price band, a minimum investment for one lot would therefore amount to ₹15,000. The structure of the issue is designed to provide the company with fresh capital while also allowing existing shareholders to realise part of their investment through the Offer for Sale component.

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹95 crore, along with an Offer for Sale of up to 1.85 crore equity shares by the promoter group and other selling shareholders. While the fresh issue will provide funds directly to the company, the proceeds from the OFS will go to the respective selling shareholders.

According to the company, a significant portion of the fresh issue proceeds will be directed towards strengthening its manufacturing and operational capabilities. Around ₹18.134 crore has been earmarked for capital expenditure related to electrical heating and specialised cable solutions. This investment is expected to support the company’s capacity and capabilities in areas that form an important part of its product portfolio.

Another major portion of the proceeds is planned for debt reduction. The company intends to utilise ₹55 crore towards the partial or full repayment of its existing debt. Reducing its outstanding borrowings could help lower its financial obligations and provide greater flexibility for future business expansion.

TempSense operates in a specialised segment of the engineering industry, focusing on products and solutions related to temperature sensing, electrical heating and specialised cables. These technologies are used across several industrial applications where accurate temperature measurement and controlled heating are critical to manufacturing and operational processes.

The company has also highlighted its position in the Indian temperature sensor market. According to TempSense, it was the largest manufacturer of contact and non-contact temperature sensors in India during FY2026, with an estimated market share of approximately 10.5%. Its presence across both contact and non-contact temperature sensing technologies gives it exposure to a broad range of industrial requirements.

Temperature sensors play an important role across sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing and other industrial applications. As industries increasingly focus on automation, process efficiency, quality control and safety, demand for accurate temperature monitoring and control systems is expected to remain important.

The company’s specialised cable and electrical heating businesses further expand its presence within the industrial engineering ecosystem. These solutions can be used in applications requiring controlled heating, electrical connectivity and reliable performance under demanding operating conditions.

The proposed IPO therefore represents an important milestone for TempSense as it seeks to strengthen its financial position and expand its operational capabilities. The allocation of funds towards capital expenditure and debt repayment indicates a strategy focused on both business development and financial consolidation.

With the IPO opening on August 20, investors will closely watch the subscription response, demand from institutional investors and the company’s ability to translate its market position into future growth. The ₹285–₹300 price band, the proposed fresh issue of up to ₹95 crore and the substantial OFS component will be key factors for investors evaluating the offering.

As TempSense prepares to enter the stock market, its established presence in thermal engineering, specialised cables and temperature sensing technologies places the company within an industrial segment that is closely linked to India’s broader manufacturing and infrastructure growth. The IPO will mark a significant new chapter for the company and could provide additional resources to pursue its expansion plans while strengthening its balance sheet.
