On Thursday afternoon, a rumour spread that Vijay Rupani, the former Chief Minister of Gujarat, was among the passengers on the London Gatwick-bound flight that crashed in Ahmedabad. Additionally, a report published by Moneycontrol claimed that Vijay Rupani was indeed on the aircraft and was seriously injured in the accident.
Earlier, certain media reports had stated that Vijay Rupani was travelling on the ill-fated flight. Notably, a passenger list obtained by the media allegedly included Rupani’s name, listed as the 12th passenger. It was also reported that his seat was 2-D.
