Marathi film ‘Chikeezing’ promises a musical journey into childhood, rural adventures and playful mischief. The film releases on November 19.
A delightful journey into childhood innocence, mischievous adventures and the vibrant charm of village life awaits audiences with the upcoming Marathi film ‘Chikeezing’. Blending humour, imagination, suspense and the simple joys of growing up, the film promises a refreshing cinematic experience centred around the world of children. Adding to the excitement, its new song, ‘Chala Chala Mamachya Gavala…’, has been released in association with Video Palace. Featuring the distinctive voice of actor Upendra Limaye, the song brings together rural flavours, playful expressions and entertaining moments. Written and directed by Rajendra Bagate and Vaibhav Kulkarni, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 19.
Presented by Dippak Wani and Jaiprakash Bhande, ‘Chikeezing’ is produced under A Themeteam Studio Production in association with Keyframe Production. Supriya Bagate is the production head, while Shabbir Sabuwala, Rachana Vora, Hrishikesh Deshmukh, Sid Vinsurkar, Karan Chavan and Umesh Kulkarni serve as co-producers. Rajendra Bagate and Vaibhav Kulkarni have jointly handled the writing and direction.
The biggest attraction of ‘Chala Chala Mamachya Gavala…’ is undoubtedly Upendra Limaye’s expressive voice. His performance goes beyond conventional singing, incorporating dramatic vocal variations, mischievous laughter, stern expressions and dialogues delivered in different character styles. These elements give the song a lively narrative quality, making it feel like an entertaining story unfolding through music.
Written by Satish Tandale, the song captures the authentic flavour of rural dialects through simple expressions and playful humour. It revolves around a mischievous boy who constantly avoids studying and is humorously reminded of the importance of discipline. Hrishikesh Kulkarni’s composition complements the narrative with energetic rhythms, melodious children’s tunes and changing background music that enhances its suspenseful moments.
The song’s visuals beautifully capture the atmosphere of rural Maharashtra through traditional tiled-roof houses, village surroundings, open fields and picturesque landscapes. Child actor Krushnaraj Waingade, who plays Chikya, impresses with his natural expressions and convincing portrayal of childhood innocence, fear and mischief. His scenes, ranging from waking up startled from a dream to playful conversations with his mother and sister, add charm to the presentation.
The film also features Prabhakar More, Sejal Kore, Amruta Suresh, Gayatri Deshpande, Aditya Ghanshyam, Rahul Kulkarni and Dr. Sonali Ghatnekar. Pravin Sonawane has handled cinematography, while Shekhar Gurav and S. Shankar are responsible for editing. Shrinidhi Venkat and Hrishikesh Kulkarni have contributed to the music, with Suresh Kumbhar overseeing art direction and costume design.
With its celebration of childhood, village life and imaginative adventures, ‘Chikeezing’ is gearing up to bring a refreshing dose of family entertainment to cinemas this November.
