The Department of Justice is organising an event at Maha Kumbh, Prayagraj, on 24 January 2025, to mark the end of the year-long “Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman” (HS2) campaign. The campaign was launched on 24 January 2024 by the Vice President of India to raise awareness about the Constitution and citizens’ legal rights. It also aimed to encourage citizens to contribute towards the vision of a developed India by 2047.

Over 1.3 lakh citizens participated in the campaign by taking the Panch Pran Pledge. Law students across India organised legal awareness activities, reaching more than 21,000 people. The Nari Bhagidari and Vanchit Varg Samman initiatives involved 70 lakh people through webinars, focusing on women’s participation in legal and social matters. Youth competitions under the Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp campaign encouraged young people to take part in nation-building.

The campaign reached various regions in India, including Bikaner, Prayagraj, and Guwahati. More than 5,000 people attended these events in person, while over 8 lakh participated in sub-campaigns such as Sabko Nyaya Har Ghar Nyaya, Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp, and Vidhi Jagriti Abhiyaan.

The final event will take place at Parmarth Triveni Pushp, Arail Ghat, Prayagraj, coinciding with the Maha Kumbh Mela. Activities include the release of an Achievement Booklet, the launch of the Department of Justice’s 2025 calendar, and the screening of a film documenting the campaign’s journey.

The event will also launch the “Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Swabhiman” campaign, aimed at further promoting constitutional values. Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Law and Justice, along with other dignitaries, will attend the event. The event marks the conclusion of HS2 and the beginning of the new initiative to raise awareness about the Constitution and legal rights.
