Kanakia Group has opened a new sports arena at Kanakia Silicon Valley, Powai, marking a significant addition to the residential community’s recreational facilities. The event brought together over 450 families, highlighting the importance of fitness and community engagement.
Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor inaugurated the arena by hoisting the National Flag and delivering a speech on the benefits of an active lifestyle. He also performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tested the new facilities, which include padel ball courts and pool tables.
Mrs. Asha Shah, Director at Kanakia Group, stated, “Our aim is to create living spaces that enhance residents’ quality of life. This sports arena reflects our commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement.”
The event featured performances by residents, including dance, singing, and yoga demonstrations. Competitions were held in chess, table tennis, lawn tennis, pool, and padel ball, with over 300 participants. Decathlon also organised workshops and pop-up activities for families, offering cricket, basketball, inline skating, cycling, and fun races.

The event concluded with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and appreciation, reinforcing Kanakia Group’s focus on fostering an active and connected residential environment.
