Herbalife participated as the Platinum Sponsor at the RISE for Healthy Ageing Conference 2026, hosted by the Longevity India Initiative at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), reaffirming its commitment to promoting healthy ageing through science-backed nutrition and metabolic wellness.
The two-day conference brought together scientists, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, healthcare experts and industry leaders from India and abroad to discuss the future of healthy ageing. Key discussions focused on the role of artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, biomarkers and nutrition science in enabling more personalised, preventive and predictive healthcare.
With India witnessing a rise in metabolic health concerns such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension and other non-communicable diseases, the conference highlighted the growing importance of preventive healthcare and healthy ageing. Experts emphasised that improving metabolic health through balanced nutrition, regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices can help people lead longer and healthier lives.
As part of the event, Herbalife organised a virtual workshop titled ‘Healthy Ageing Begins with Healthy Metabolism’, which engaged over 20,000 associates, preferred customers and employees across India. The session focused on the importance of metabolism, sleep, stress management, physical activity and community support in building sustainable healthy habits.
Speaking at the conference, Ajay Khanna, Managing Director of Herbalife India, said that as life expectancy continues to increase, the focus should shift from simply living longer to living healthier. He said metabolic health forms the foundation of healthy ageing and that nutrition, active lifestyles, scientific innovation and strong social connections all play an important role in improving overall well-being.
Professor Deepak Kumar Saini from the Department of Developmental Biology and Genetics at IISc said healthy ageing requires a better understanding of the biological, clinical and lifestyle factors that influence longevity and quality of life. He added that the conference served as a platform to strengthen collaboration between academia, healthcare and industry while translating scientific research into practical health solutions.
The conference also encouraged discussions on innovation and collaboration in the field of longevity science, with experts exploring ways to improve public health through research-driven approaches. By bringing together multiple stakeholders, the event aimed to promote knowledge sharing and accelerate the development of effective strategies for healthy ageing.
Herbalife said it will continue supporting initiatives that encourage scientific research, innovation and awareness around nutrition and wellness. Through partnerships with academic institutions and healthcare experts, the company aims to promote healthier lifestyles and contribute to improving metabolic wellness across different age groups.
