NAISHA is set to redefine Bollywood as the first feature-length film powered entirely by artificial intelligence. The trailer, now released, introduces AI-generated lead characters, Naisha Bose and Zain Kapoor, in a love story that spans continents and timelines. Scheduled for a theatrical release in May 2025, NAISHA promises a cinematic experience blending AI innovation with human emotion.
Directed by filmmaker Vivek Anchalia, known for Tikdam (Jio Hotstar) and co-writing Rajma Chawal (Netflix), NAISHA showcases the potential of AI in storytelling. Produced by Amazing Indian Stories (AIS), a newly established AI content studio, the film pushes the boundaries of digital entertainment.
NAISHA integrates cutting-edge AI technology to craft visuals and enhance storytelling, bridging the gap between artificial intelligence and human creativity. The trailer offers a glimpse into its stunning AI-rendered world, backed by an evocative narrative and a compelling soundtrack. The story follows Naisha, a free-spirited Bengali-Mizo girl, and Zain, a rebellious rapper, as they navigate love, identity, and destiny across Kolkata, Paris, and Switzerland.
Vivek Anchalia sees NAISHA as a breakthrough for Bollywood’s future. “With NAISHA, we are merging the richness of Indian storytelling with the limitless possibilities of AI. Cinema has evolved through technology, but this is a new chapter, AI allows us to create what was once unimaginable,” he said.
Anchalia also highlights the film’s thematic depth, saying, ‘NAISHA reflects the struggles of today’s youth, torn between tradition and modernity. Through AI, we explore themes of self-discovery, choices, and emotional connections in a rapidly evolving world.’
NAISHA’s soundtrack features a stellar lineup of industry veterans. Daniel B. George, known for his work in Andhadhun, Johnny Gaddar, Bellbottom, and Merry Christmas, has composed two soulful tracks, Manmaniyaan and Ruhaniyaan, performed by Madhubanti Bagchi (Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2). Additionally, Cheater Saiyaan and Jaane Kahan are composed by Protijyoti Ghosh and Ujjwal Kashyap, respectively. The music promises to elevate the film’s emotional impact.
With NAISHA, Bollywood is stepping into a new era of AI-driven storytelling. The film blends technological advancements with compelling human emotions, opening doors for future AI-led productions.
Produced by Pori Bhuyan, Shweta Sharma Anchalia, and Joseph Franklin, NAISHA is set to hit cinemas in May 2025, marking a bold step in AI-integrated filmmaking.
