The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) has launched ‘FinKnowledge – Quiz for Securities Market-related Entities (QSME) 2026’, an initiative aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of professionals working in India’s fast-changing securities market. The institute describes it as the country’s first dedicated quiz competition for professionals associated with the securities market.

The initiative has been introduced to help participants stay updated on key areas such as market regulations, investment products, compliance, market infrastructure, technology and emerging industry trends. Teams representing several leading financial institutions, including NSE, NSDL, BSE, AMFI, MCX, NCDEX, CAMS, CRISIL and CARE Ratings, took part in the competition.

Speaking about the initiative, NISM Director Sashi Krishnan said the Indian capital market is evolving rapidly due to technological advancements, regulatory changes and growing investor participation. He emphasised that continuous learning and regularly updating professional skills have become essential in such a dynamic environment.

Krishnan said FinKnowledge QSME 2026 provides professionals with an opportunity to assess their knowledge, exchange ideas and gain a better understanding of the latest developments shaping the securities market.

The competition concluded with ARIA emerging as the winner and receiving the first prize of ₹1.50 lakh. BSE secured the second position with a prize of ₹1 lakh, while AMFI finished third and received ₹60,000.

Through initiatives such as FinKnowledge QSME 2026, NISM aims to encourage continuous professional development and promote a culture of learning among participants in India’s securities market ecosystem.
