Agra: Shivrajyotsav – Sampoorna Bharatvarsh 2026 concluded as one of India’s grandest national celebrations, commemorating the 396th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Organised by Vishal Patil and Abhinav Devgiri Pratishthan, with support from the Government of Maharashtra, the festival united citizens across the country in a powerful display of patriotism, cultural pride, and reverence for the legendary Maratha king.
This year, the event gained special significance as it was held at Agra Fort, a historic site where Shivaji Maharaj’s daring escape from the Mughal Empire became legendary. The celebration served as a reminder of Maharaj’s extraordinary courage, strategic vision, and ideals of Swaraj, justice, and fearless leadership.
Thousands of devotees, historians, youth groups, and cultural organisations participated in the festivities, making it a truly national event. The celebrations highlighted Shivaji Maharaj’s timeless message of self-respect, empowerment, and good governance, inspiring attendees to carry forward his legacy.
The event was graced by numerous distinguished dignitaries. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Mumbai MLA Shri Atulji Bhatkhalkar, former Mayor of Aurangabad Adv. Smt. Ashita Shelke, and Agra MLA Shri R.K. Singh attended, along with eminent personalities like medical expert Shri Tatyarao Lahane and Shri Avinashji Pandey. Other notable attendees included Shri Amrit Patel, Shri Narendra Pathak, Shri Ramkumar Yadav, Shri Kareem Siddiqui, Shri Haribansh Agarwal, and youth leaders Shri Ajinkya Chavan and Shri Gaurav Gupta from Phatak Vrundaban Vedic Ashram Charitable Trust.
Vishal Patil said, “Shivrajyotsav 2026 transformed into a historic national celebration, bringing together people from every corner of India. The grand tribute at Agra Fort symbolised the unity, strength, and pride of our nation. Witnessing thousands honour Maharaj’s legacy has strengthened our collective resolve to carry forward his message of Swaraj and fearless leadership.”
During the event, CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis announced the construction of a grand memorial dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Agra. The initiative, led by Vinod Patil, President of Ajinkya Devgiri Pratishthan, made the 4th Shiv Jayanti at Agra Fort a matter of national pride.
Other notable attendees included Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, Fatehpur Sikri MP Rajkumar Chahar, Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay, MLA Prashant Bumb, Abhijeet Dheshmukh, and Jitendra Motwani.
Shivrajyotsav 2026 emerged as a historic festival, reviving the spirit of Swaraj and reminding all Indians of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s enduring legacy of bravery, leadership, and justice.
