TCG Real Estate, part of The Chatterjee Group (TCG), has announced its entry into India’s premium managed living segment with the launch of Yukio, a new residential brand designed for young professionals seeking a modern and community-driven lifestyle.
The move marks the group’s expansion into one of the country’s fastest-growing residential asset classes, as demand for professionally managed accommodation continues to rise among working professionals in urban centres. With Yukio, TCG aims to offer more than just rental housing by creating an ecosystem that combines convenience, wellness and opportunities for personal growth.
The Chatterjee Group is a diversified business conglomerate with interests spanning petrochemicals, chemicals, real estate, technology, life sciences and financial services. Through Yukio, the company is looking to strengthen its presence in the evolving residential sector by catering to the lifestyle needs of India’s upwardly mobile workforce.
According to the company, Yukio residences feature fully furnished, ready-to-move-in spaces supported by a range of professionally managed services. Residents have access to nutritious meals, housekeeping, laundry, wellness facilities and digitally enabled resident services, ensuring a hassle-free living experience from the very first day.
The managed-living spaces also include amenities such as a game lounge, gym, yoga deck and basketball court, along with community engagement programmes aimed at encouraging networking and personal development. A key highlight of the brand is its Growth Lab, which offers workshops, learning sessions and networking opportunities to help residents build professional and personal connections.
Sharing the vision behind the initiative, Pratap Chatterjee, founding leader of Yukio and Executive Director and CFO of TCG Real Estate, said India’s urban housing landscape is changing rapidly as young professionals increasingly seek better living standards and a stronger sense of community.
He said Yukio has been designed to go beyond traditional rental accommodation by creating an environment where residents can live, learn and grow together. By combining technology-enabled services with community-focused experiences, the brand aims to support the aspirations of professionals building their careers in India’s growing cities.
Within less than a year of its launch, Yukio has expanded to more than 1,000 beds across two properties in Pune—Yukio Jobs and Yukio Gates. The company said the strong response from residents reflects the growing preference for professionally managed housing solutions that combine comfort with convenience.
Encouraged by its initial success, Yukio now plans to expand beyond Pune into other metropolitan cities across India. The company has announced plans to add another 1,500 beds over the next year as part of its growth strategy, further strengthening its footprint in the premium managed living market.
Pratap Chatterjee said the response in Pune has reinforced the company’s confidence in the long-term growth potential of the managed accommodation sector. He added that the expansion will enable Yukio to serve a larger community of professionals looking for high-quality residential experiences in major urban centres.
With its focus on technology, wellness, community and convenience, Yukio aims to redefine premium managed living by offering an integrated lifestyle rather than just accommodation. As India’s urban workforce continues to expand, the company believes professionally managed residences will play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of city living.
