Celebrated chef and humanitarian Vikas Khanna has been named to the prestigious TIME100 list for 2026, recognising the world’s 100 most influential individuals. The honour places him among global leaders, artists, innovators, and changemakers who have shaped conversations and driven impact across industries.
An internationally acclaimed chef, restaurateur, author, and filmmaker, Khanna has played a defining role in bringing Indian cuisine to the global forefront. His New York restaurant Bungalow has quickly gained attention for offering an immersive cultural experience that celebrates India’s heritage through food, storytelling, and design. Guests are not just served meals but are introduced to narratives rooted in Indian tradition. Earlier, his Michelin-starred restaurant Junoon helped redefine fine Indian dining on the world stage, earning accolades and a Michelin star for several consecutive years.
Khanna became a household name in India through his role as a judge on MasterChef India. His calm presence, mentorship, and emotional connect with contestants made him one of the most loved faces on Indian television. Beyond the screen, he has authored over 40 books that document the depth and diversity of Indian culinary traditions, preserving recipes and stories for future generations.
Expanding his creative journey, Khanna stepped into filmmaking with his directorial debut The Last Color, which received international acclaim for its sensitive storytelling and social message.
