Reddit has launched Hindi translations on its platform, making authentic, community-led discussions more accessible to Indian users.
The update lets users translate posts, comments, and entire conversations into Hindi with one tap. The translation option is available across iOS, Android, and desktop versions of the app. Just click the translate icon in the top-right corner to switch to Hindi.
Feeds, Threads, and comments—now in Hindi
From trending memes to deep threads in r/India, the move aims to bring more users into the Reddit fold by speaking their language. In the next few months, Reddit also plans to add Bengali to its language options, boosting its reach further.
This feature builds on recent India-focused upgrades. Earlier, Reddit introduced “Reddit Answers” — an AI-powered tool that helps users discover information faster and more accurately. These features, along with SEO improvements, reflect Reddit’s push to grow its user base in India by making the platform more intuitive and inclusive.
What’s next?
Reddit is working to improve search engine accessibility in native languages. This could allow users to discover Reddit content in their own language directly through search results.
With this update, Reddit becomes more local and user-friendly for India’s growing digital audience. No extra steps, just tap and read in Hindi.
