Writers and poets have long tried to express the divine essence of a mother, yet no words can ever truly capture her unconditional love. Filmmakers too have often explored motherhood through various lenses. The upcoming Marathi film ‘Well Done Aai’ is another heartfelt tribute to this eternal bond, placing the mother at the very heart of its story. Times may change, but a mother’s compassion and strength remain constant. Promising a perfect mix of humour and emotion, the film is set to release in theatres on 14th November.
The first poster of the film has just been released, creating a buzz among audiences. Produced by Sudhir Patil under the banner of Deepali Productions, the film is written and directed by Shankar Archana Bapu Dhulgude. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are by Sandeep Gachhande and Shankar Dhulgude. Ever since its announcement, ‘Well Done Aai’ has been a topic of excitement especially because the lead role of the mother is played by Maharashtra’s beloved Comedy Queen Vishakha Subhedar. Known for her impeccable comic timing and powerful performances, she is set to bring warmth, humour, and depth to the character.
The newly released poster shows Vishakha Subhedar in a cheerful and lively look, giving a thumbs-up as if inviting viewers to the cinema. She is joined by Vijay Nikam and Jaywant Wadkar, while the supporting cast includes Ayush Patil, Simran Khedkar, Beena Siddharth, Tanvi Dhuri, and Vipul Khandale. From the visuals, the film appears to centre around a modern, middle-class mother who goes to great lengths for her child’s happiness and well-being.
Director Shankar Archana Bapu Dhulgude shared, “The mother portrayed in ‘Well Done Aai’ is unlike any seen before. The story will keep audiences engaged till the very end. With soulful music, engaging performances, and strong production values, the film offers complete family entertainment.”
The film features music by Nishad Golambare with lyrics written by Sandeep Gachhande. Ranjit Sahu handles cinematography, while Nilesh Gawand is in charge of editing. The executive producer is Rajpal Singh, and Kafil Ansari serves as production head. The film’s distribution is managed by Cinepolis.
Other key members of the crew include Agnel Roman (background score), Devendra Taware (art direction), and Chini Chetan (choreography). Hair styling is by Mayuri Bastawdekar, costumes by Pratibha Gaikwad, and makeup by Madhav Mhapanakar. The associate director is Manas Redkar, while post-production is done by Eye Focus Studio (Vijay Dinesh). Visual promotions are managed by Premankur Bose.
With its warm story, talented cast, and emotional depth, ‘Well Done Aai’ promises to be a beautiful celebration of motherhood one that will make audiences laugh, cry, and cherish the bond they share with their own mothers.
