Sure Real Pictures has signed rising actor Satvik Bhatia as the lead in its debut feature film Liberation, a global thriller scheduled for release in 2026. The film will mark a significant step forward for the young actor, who has steadily built a strong presence across films and web series.
Directed by Ankit Kadam, Liberation is produced by Sure Real Pictures and Kanishk Kadam, and co-produced by Approach Entertainment and Sonu Tyagi. The film is designed for a global audience and will release primarily in English, with dubbed versions in Hindi and other Indian languages.
Satvik Bhatia will be seen playing James, a troubled and disillusioned young man struggling with identity, pressure, and purpose. The story follows James as he drops out of school, overwhelmed by family expectations and a sense of emptiness. His life takes a dark turn when he develops an obsession with leaving behind a legacy, leading him down a dangerous path.
As the narrative unfolds, James crosses paths with powerful characters such as Dorothy, a street worker shaped by survival, and Boss, a man driven by greed and ambition. Together, their journeys form a gripping tale of rebellion, vengeance, and eventual self-realisation. The film explores themes that strongly resonate with today’s youth, including alienation, societal pressure, and the search for meaning.
Satvik Bhatia, who hails from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, has emerged as one of the promising faces of the new generation. He made his film debut with India Lockdown (2022) and later played lead roles in Kuch Sapney Apne (2024). On the digital front, he gained recognition with Made in Heaven Season 2 (2023) and further connected with young audiences as Minku in Kota Factory Season 3 (2024).
Producer Kanishk Kadam, founder of Sure Real Pictures, said the casting reflects the company’s vision of telling honest and relatable stories. He noted that Satvik’s personal journey and emotional depth align naturally with the character of James and the core themes of Liberation.
Director Ankit Kadam added that Satvik’s intensity and vulnerability make him the right choice for the role. He said the film aims to challenge conventional storytelling while speaking directly to the younger generation.
Co-producer Sonu Tyagi, founder of Approach Entertainment, said the collaboration brings together strong creative and promotional support. He added that Satvik’s performance has the potential to leave a lasting impact on audiences across platforms.
Liberation is currently in production and will move into post-production ahead of its planned release. Approach Communications is handling PR and integrated communications for the film, while Approach Bollywood is the official entertainment app partner, offering exclusive updates and behind-the-scenes content.
With Liberation, Sure Real Pictures begins its journey into feature filmmaking, aiming to create bold, meaningful stories that balance cultural authenticity with global appeal.
