Mumbai: International cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary has stepped into the entertainment world with his acting debut in the Haryanvi gangster anthem Goli To Chalegi. Known for his sharp and fearless decisions on the cricket field, Chaudhary now showcases a different side of his personality, displaying confidence and authority in front of the camera.
The music video, directed by fashion designer turned filmmaker Suman Guha and produced by Naresh Jha under the banner of Epic Films, has generated strong buzz since its release. With Diamond’s powerful vocals and a cinematic treatment, the project stands out for its high energy and stylish presentation. Rather than a conventional music video, Goli To Chalegi unfolds like a compact action film, combining bold storytelling with striking visuals.
Co-artists Rohit Kharb, Chandni Raut and Hemesh Dixit add depth and screen presence to the narrative. However, it is Anil Chaudhary’s debut performance that has attracted the most attention. Years of officiating high pressure international cricket matches appear to have given him a natural command that translates well on screen. His composed body language and confident expressions reflect the authority he carries on the cricket pitch.
Speaking about his first acting experience, Chaudhary shared that he did not feel nervous in front of the camera. He explained that his experience of doing commentary in Haryanvi helped him remain comfortable. He credited director Suman Guha for bringing out his best performance and thanked producer Naresh Jha for the opportunity. According to him, both umpiring and acting carry their own unique excitement.
The launch event saw the presence of several well known faces from the film and television industry. Actors Rajniesh Duggall and Gurmeet Choudhary attended the event and extended their best wishes to the team. Rajniesh Duggall praised Suman Guha’s creative vision, while Gurmeet Choudhary appreciated the overall presentation of the song. Celebrities such as Rajeev Sen, Mishika Chaurasia, Vipin Bhardwaj, Siddhi Ahuja and Priyanka were also present to support Chaudhary’s new venture.
Director Suman Guha revealed that two more concept driven songs will release soon. Producer Naresh Jha added that Epic Films plans to unveil a new song every month, promising consistent and engaging content.
